The journey of Korça’s young creators continues boldly!

The Community Foundation “Korçarët Ndihmojmë Korçarët," within the framework of the project “The Young Creators of the Future," a project aimed at encouraging creativity and the courage to express innovative ideas among young people aged 14–22, implemented across the Municipality of Korça, has continued its activities with the winning teams.

Today, the journey of these young creators focused on one of the most important aspects every “crazy inventor” dreams about—patenting. During a highly interactive workshop mentored by Ms. Suela Koçibellinj, Executive Director of Vision NGO, the young participants were introduced to the basic concepts of patenting an idea, the legal framework, and the steps required to register an invention, as well as the responsible institutions in Albania and across Europe.

Through active discussions, the young innovators behind the seven selected ideas—chosen from a total of 18 submitted projects—were able to better understand and distinguish the differences between patents, trademarks, and copyright protection.

Most importantly, they gained a clearer understanding of the circumstances and conditions under which an invention can advance to the highest stage: patent registration.

For every young creator or “crazy inventor,” imagination comes first. However, in the modern era, it is equally important to have inventors who are theoretically prepared and knowledgeable about the legal framework so they can fully own and protect both themselves and their inventions.

The future belongs to them—our challenge is to prepare them as well as possible!
