The forest corridor of the Park of the Hills of Korca
The forest corridor of the Park of the Hills of Korça has begun the implementation of its first phase,with strong voluntary participation from the city’s residents.
The forest corridor of the Park of the Hills of Korça has begun the implementation of its first phase, with strong voluntary participation from the city’s residents. The project aims to plant 3,333 saplings of various species, contributing to the reforestation of this area and the expansion of green spaces.
At the same time, this initiative is expected to improve the microclimate across the entire city of Korça and its surrounding areas. The project comes as a joint initiative of the civic group “Rruga,” Dorcas Aid International Albania, the Korça Community Foundation “Korçarët Ndihmojmë Korçën,” and the MEET Center, in cooperation with the Municipality of Korça.
A very important contribution, except for main donors, has also been made by various individuals who have donated different amounts of money, enabling the purchase of saplings as well as the provision of the necessary logistics for their planting.
